It is considered a current liability due to its quickness in being converted into cash. An accounts payable normally has a credit balance. Accounts payable salaries range from hourly to yearly salaries. The clerical positions such as Accounts Payable Clerks are usually paid hourly. The average rate for this position varies from $8-20 per hour, depending on the firm and firm's region.
Accounts Payable Accountants are usually paid a yearly salary. Depending on the firm's size, firm's region, individual's experience, and other factors - this position averages around $40,000 annually or $17-20 hourly.
